My daughter is turning 4 years old and she is a princess in her own mind and she lets everyone know it. This year she wanted a princess birthday party, what’s a loving father to do except to comply, gladly. I’m always up for doing a do-it-yourself projects.
What does a princess need to arrive at the princess party? Well a princess carriage, of course. So the list of things on hand and needed went through my mind as I looked through the house. My wife suggested using the red wagon we got a few years ago for my sons birthday and it was not being used anymore.
Pulling the wagon into the workshop and examining it, I quickly drew up a sketch of what it might look like. Then I searched through out the Internet for what other people had done. Nothing like what I wanted to do was out there. The closest thing was a cardboard box with line drawing for kids to paint colors on was being sold. It was large enough for two small kids between 3-5 years old to fit into.
The cardboard box was stationary. And I wanted something that could be pulled like my wife suggested. So the red wagon was going to be retrofitted with a large cardboard on each side with cutout windows for the princess to look out from as well as for others to see her.
Here are some pictures for it.
